ipoh parade 2nd floor "CITY TIME" 手錶店 totally is a 黑店

JUST CLEANUP A WATCH CHARGE RM55!!

2010-08-15 (Sunday)

My watch run out of battery recently... then i and my friend go to ipoh parade 2nd floor "CITY TIME" change battery, the boss (Mr.Lee Kong Ming 中年老uncle) charge me RM19.50..(my watch price is below RM100, digital watch CASIO FUTURIST)

He say can not just open a new battery to try... i have to paid 1st then he will try the new battery...(is ok for me...i take the risk)

but when he put in new battery my watch dun know why not working(no display)... the boss look so happy and offer can fix it for us... he say very easy 90% can fix it...he say "if lucky just take it out and cleanup it will work"... if after cleanup still not work maybe got part broken inside baru need to repair... I thinking my watch just run out of battery, maybe too dirty block the contact on battery area....

then we ask the boss how much will charge IF need to repair... he told us just around RM30~40 (人工費 only) replace parts not include. the i ask what is the Max charge for repair... he say max is RM55. we keep on ask him how much it will cost for cleaning... he keep saying "not sure la... maybe if lucky cleanup will be ok la...have to do 1st then will know the cost la... dun worry very easy to fix.... not too expensive la... bla bla bla..." he never comfirm the price..

I had ask other watch shop;

1. clean up - usually wont charge(FOC if u buy that watch at they shop or change battery there) ...if really want to charge人工費 usually less then >RM10

2. repair (got part broken and need to replace) - depand what part broken and what kind of watch, 人工費 usually charge RM40~100 (this is for those very expensive watch) replace part cost not included.

we think maybe watch oredi dirty inside and need to cleanup then watch will back to normal again (coz the watch just run out of battery, and my watch is digital watch no gear inside should be easy to cleanup)... then we agree let him do...then he ask us leave the watch and give deposit RM20... we also dun know why he ask for deposit ...?? we also blur blur give him RM20... :( he didn't give us any receipt for that deposit.

after we go back home we feel something not right... if just cleanup why need deposit... maybe i also can do it myself...then decide stop the cleanup... plan tomorrow call back the shop but i dun have to phone number (that's why i ask City Time phone number in here)

2010-08-16 (Monday)

next morning i call shop no one answer (not yet open shop) then finally i got that boss(Mr.Lee) phone number and call him(he at outside) and i request to stop the clean up.

when he heard i say want to stop...he begin speak loud and 野蠻.. he told me oredi fix it... say last night he do OT to fix it (when i ask what have he fix, he dun want to tell me)... and he say charge me RM55(max)...

i so surprise why so expensive.... and he say we oredi agree on that day RM55... we never argree on RM55... if we know is RM55... sure we wont do it... (that day we keep on ask him how much it will cost...he keep on saying "not sure la... maybe if lucky cleanup will be ok la...have to do 1st then will know the cost la... dun worry very easy to fix.... not too expensive la... bla bla bla..." and he never comfirm the price, and we thought if he charge us maybe just for the cleanup cost >RM10)

later when i call back his shop, his technician answer call and say yesterday when we left the shop, his boss (Mr.Lee Kong Ming 中年老uncle) already fix it... and he say just open up the watch and cleanup(coz digital watch no gear inside should be easy to clean)...NO NEED to repair and NO part broken. just clean up he want to charge me RM55

...that is not right... he really think we are "lulu"...

at this moment I still not yet collect my watch....coz now i at penang...maybe this weekend will go and collect... then have to fight with the boss again... :(
