穆斯林婦女本月初痛下殺手，將自己的初生嬰兒殺死，並肢解砍成八塊企圖毀屍滅跡，結果東窗事發，被警方拘捕控上法庭。但是她面對的不是謀殺罪，也不是誤殺罪，而是更輕微的刑事罪。在她俯首認罪之後，吉打推事庭庭主只判她坐牢12個月了事。

回想起不久前一對華裔父子因為錯手致死一個破門而入的搶匪，竟然被大馬警方以謀殺罪起訴，面對死刑審判；後來在輿論壓力之下才改恐誤殺罪，若罪名成立將可被判監禁12年的遭遇；不由得慨嘆：大馬的法律不看膚色~~~才怪！

A woman was sentenced to 12 months』 jail by the magistrate’s court here today for hiding the birth of a baby by cutting the stillborn into eight parts early this month.

Magistrate Nurshahida Abdul Rahim handed down the sentence after Farihah Abd Aziz, 31, pleaded guilty to the charge.

Farihah admitted to have committed the offence by cutting the stillborn baby into eight parts before disposing of the parts in a septic tank at a house in Kampung Manggol, Mukim Malau Jitra, Kubang Pasu between 1pm to 3pm on July 6.

She was charged under Section 318 of the Penal Code, which carries a fine or imprisonment not exceeding two years, or both, upon conviction.

Deputy public prosecutor Naizatul Zima Tajudin appeared for the prosecution, while the accused was represented by Ummi Kalthum Zakaria, from the National Legal Aid Foundation.
