振奮人心！敦馬親自邀請出任大馬國家經濟行動理事會唯一重量級金融界代表，丹斯里鄭鴻標接班人華麗亮相！

大眾銀行創辦人兼最大股東丹斯里鄭鴻標在今年1月1日正式告老榮休之後，大眾銀行最高掌舵人也已經正式就位；而大馬金融界對這位接班人並不陌生。而有趣的是，鄭鴻標雖然退休了，新任大眾銀行集團最高掌舵人依然姓鄭。大眾銀行依然視鄭家的天下，雖然鄭鴻標跟他的接班人並無任何血緣關係。

實際上，這位接班人早在上個世紀70年代就已經是大眾銀行集團董事部重要成員之一。他是丹斯里鄭鴻標親手栽培、歷經無數考驗，最終獲得鄭鴻標完全信任的金融界奇才。金融界都知道，最近十幾年來，鄭鴻標已經逐漸卸下重擔，權力下放給這位欽定接班人；大眾銀行集團跨入21世紀之後的實際最高掌權人，就是他。

如今由首相敦馬哈迪親自領導、宣布委任的13位國家經濟行動理事會成員當中，華裔占了3位，其中一位，就是大眾銀行集團新任最高掌舵人，丹斯里鄭亞歷。

前面說過，鄭鴻標就算退休了，接班人鄭亞歷也是姓鄭，大眾銀行還是姓鄭的天下。而就算現年76歲的鄭亞歷也退休了，目前擔任大眾銀行總執行長的第二號人物鄭國廉還是姓鄭，66歲的鄭國廉成為鄭亞歷的接班人後，大眾銀行還是姓鄭的天下。

首相敦馬哈迪宣布的13位國家經濟行動理事會成員，除了丹斯里鄭亞歷之外，還有財政部長林冠英、經濟部長阿茲敏阿里、國際貿易及工業部長戴利爾列京、工程部長巴魯比安、國企控股主席丹斯里潔蒂、前任國際貿工部長丹斯里拉菲達、經濟學家佐摩、大馬股票交易所主席茜仁恩、亞洲商業諮詢理事會主席穆尼、人民信託委員會主席哈斯尼達、律師公會代表東尼巴爾及大馬消費人協會首席執行長保羅西華拉茲。

國家經濟行動理事會將制定大馬未來的經濟策略、為國家經濟貿易未來路線方針提供指引及謀略。

Rafidah, Jomo and banker Tay appointed to Economic Action Council

PETALING JAYA: Former minister Rafidah Aziz, economist KS Jomo and Public Bank managing director Tay Ah Lek are among the big names in the Economic Action Council, which will be chaired by Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

In a statement today, the Prime Minister’s Office said the council will examine and make decisions on economic and financial matters and will look into problems faced by the public.

「The council will also look into issues related to the cost of living, employment, poverty and home ownership,」 it said.

Economic Affairs Minister Azmin Ali, Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng, International Trade and Industry Minister Darell Leiking, Works Minister Baru Bian and Permodalan Nasional Berhad chairman Zeti Akhtar Aziz were also named as council members.

Bursa Malaysia chairman Shireen Ann Zaharah Muhiudeen, Asean Business Advisory Council chairman Munir Majid, Majlis Amanah Rakyat chairman Hasnita Hashim, lawyer Bah Tony and Federation of Malaysian Consumers Associations (Fomca) CEO Paul Selvaraj complete the line-up.

The statement said the council will come up with initiatives to spur sustainable economic growth and ensure distribution of wealth as well as enhance the well-being of the people.

Recently, the National Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (NCCIM) had expressed support for the government’s plan to form a council to chart a clearer direction for the economy.

The NCCIM, which is made up of five national business groups in the country representing over 600,000 members, had said the council, which would be similar to the previous National Economic Action Council, was timely in view of the current global challenges.
