（吉隆坡3日訊）行動黨國會領袖林吉祥的一番話，讓該黨峇吉里候任國會議員楊美盈淚眼盈眶，更慶幸在特別時期有林吉祥給予該黨道德領導。

楊美盈昨晚在面子書發文，摘錄林吉祥為柔州行動黨活動致開幕詞的內容，如「我們不能忘記根基和理想」和「我們不能以反對黨過去對待我們的方式，對待他們，我們不能壓迫他們。作為政府，我們必須忍受批評和每5年面對選民」。

其他的致詞內容包括「我們在5月9日創下歷史，但必須努力為人民實現更好的生活，我們才不會成為歷史」，及「我們必須確保各階級的行動黨領袖知道，我們涉政不是為了權力或職位，而是為了理想」。

楊美盈說，行動黨很幸運能有林吉祥給予道德領導，並指該黨決不能忘記理想、社會和經濟正義、民主、人權、乾淨的政府和給予所有國人更好的大馬。

許多網民紛紛留言感謝林吉祥為國家的付出，並讚揚他為所有人樹立了真正領導人的好榜樣；也有少數網民指希望聯盟需要對付強硬派的問題製造者、種族主義者和狂熱分子，否則政府的運作和人民的安寧將被打擾。

DAP Johor retreat: My eyes wet the whole time when LKS gave his opening speech this morning -- "we must not forget our root and ideals...", "we must not treat the opposition the way they treated us....we must not oppress them... as a government, we must be able to stand criticisms and face the electorates every 5 years (in a free and fair election)...", "we made history on 9 May but must work hard now to deliver and better ppl lives so not to become history ourselves....", "we must make sure that DAP leaders at all level know that we are in politics not for power or positions but ideals..."

DAP is blessed to have LKS that provides us the most needed leadership at such an extraordinary time - moral leadership. Yes, we must not forget our ideals - social and economic justice, democracy, human rights, clean governance and a better Malaysia for all Malaysians. Yes, we must never ever forget that.
