上星期被一些吃飽沒事專門找茬的極端穆斯林指控,說該公司出品的B-First球鞋鞋底花紋竟然含有阿拉伯的《阿拉》字眼,而遭到宗教局無情打壓,勒令下架的BATA公司;雖然已經成功在星期四上訴得直;內政部可蘭經印刷執照組宣布BATA沒錯,那鞋底花紋不是阿拉字眼,所以沒涉及褻瀆伊斯蘭,可以恢復售賣球鞋了。那麼,BATA因為此事平白無故蒙受公司名譽損失和業績虧損50萬令吉,Jakim是不是應該賠償?納吉怎麼說?國陣怎麼說?
根據BATA集團大馬區經理保羅格拉希表示,因為這莫須有的罪名,BATA公司被迫將超過7萬爽B-First球鞋從全馬230間門市下架;這期間造成的損失高達50萬令吉,也令BATA過去構建的良好信譽受損了。
據說事件的起因來自今年2月8日,柔佛州峇株巴轄宗教學校的校長發出公文禁止全校學生購買BATA的B-First球鞋,因為該校長發現這款球鞋鞋底花紋似乎印有阿拉伯文的阿拉字眼,他認為BATA已經觸犯伊斯蘭教條,涉及褻瀆阿拉,因此他還向宗教局舉報BATA。
而宗教局全都是些吃飽沒事做專愛找茬幫大馬政府趕走外資的飯桶廢柴,就像嗜血的昆蟲一樣見獵心喜,以為又有表現的機會了,於是都還沒搞清楚狀況就高調對付BATA,勒令BATA將《有問題》的鞋款下架。
不過,經過內政部可蘭經印刷執照組的反復鑒定之後,認定BATA鞋底花紋與阿拉無關,所謂褻瀆阿拉的指控不成立;還了BATA清白。
然而因為這起風波,可憐的BATA平白蒙受的損失,應該向誰追討?國陣政府視若無睹,宗教局裝傻扮懵,彷彿一切都沒發生過一樣;明明自己搞烏龍,卻不但不認錯,還裝無辜。如果你是BATA老闆,你會不會心寒?

PETALING JAYA: Fake news resulted in shoe company BataPrimavera Sdn Bhd losing more than RM500,000 within a monthafter an allegation went viral about the company sellingshoes with the Arabic word 「Allah」 formed in the pattern onthe soles.
Since the controversy surfaced in cyberspace in February,Bata was forced to withdraw 70,000 pairs of the B-Firstschool shoes from its 230 stores nationwide, said companycountry manager Paolo Grassi.
The shoes were returned to the shelves only after Bata wascleared of the allegation by the Al-Quran Printing Controland Licensing Board of the Home Ministry on Thursday.
「That episode not only cost us to lose money, but our imagesuffered as well.
「We are relieved to be cleared by the authorities. To showour sincere efforts to respect the cultural and religioussanctity of the people of Malaysia, we will produce newmouldings for the B-First shoes after the existing stock issold out by June this year,」 he told reporters at Menara Batahere yesterday.
Also present were company senior manager Datuk James Selvarajand chief collection manager Sharon Wong.
「We have been cleared by the ministry. Should anyonecontinue to put Bata in a bad light after this, we will nothesitate to take legal action,」 he warned.
On Feb 8, the principal of Sekolah Agama Bandar Batu Pahathad released a letter to its students forbidding them to buyBata』s B-First school shoes, claiming the shoes had the holyverse on the soles.
