The 46-year-old victim, who is attached to a law firm, was killed on the spot after being shot in the back and leg in front of her 16th-floor office at Menara Centara on Jalan Chow Kit here. City Criminal Investigation Department chief ACP Rusdi Mohd Isa said the man, a 51-year-old bill collector, fired a few shots, two of which hit the ex-wife, before turning the pistol on himself. Police seized a badminton racquet casing and a parang at the scene. 「They argued before the shooting. We are still trying to find out what the argument was about. The witnesses said they were arguing in Tamil, 」 said Rusdi. Police were informed about the incident at 3.15pm. He said the victim and suspect had been divorced for five years.
