（吉隆坡20日訊）反貪污委員會前特別行動組主任拿督巴里月初甫退休，但如今他卻因被指涉嫌於在職期間濫用職權，試圖阻撓警方調查其妻子而被調查。

全國總警長丹斯里卡立阿布巴卡今日證實，警方於去年杪在吉蘭丹接獲這起投報，目前已經展開調查。

據了解，巴里的妻子捲入一宗遺產糾紛而被人報案要求警方介入調查，而巴里則被指當時濫用職權，不讓警方繼續調查此案。

今年58歲的巴里提早兩年退休，他在負責調查SRC國際有限公司（曾是一馬發展有限公司的子公司）一案中，扮演舉足輕重的角色。

巴里本月初聲稱對SRC國際有限公司案件調查結果感到失望，於2016年12月30日請辭；他當時還表示愧對政府和3000萬馬來西亞人。

此外，他也不滿總檢察署拒絕發出司法援助（MLA），以讓反貪會可以收集來自海外的證據與文件，繼續調查26億令吉事件。

SUBANG JAYA: : Inspector-General of Police Khalid Abu Bakar today confirmed that a police report was filed against former Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) top gun, Bahri Mohamad Zain, alleging that he had abused his power while in office.

Khalid said the report alleged that Bahri, the former director of MACC’s Special Operations Division, had abused his power to stifle investigations into a police report lodged against his wife.

The IGP said the report against Bahri was lodged in Kelantan.

「We had investigated it, and we have handed over the investigation paper to the Attorney-General’s Chambers for further action,」 Khalid said.

FMT earlier this week reported that a group led by Bahri’s sister-in-law, Noraihan Che Ali, had accused him of abusing his power to ensure no action was taken on police reports lodged against his wife.

Firdaus Kader, the assistant organiser of a press conference held this afternoon to expose Bahri’s alleged power abuse, had told FMT that the wife of the former MACC man was allegedly implicated in a dispute over a will left by her late brother, Zamri Abdullah.

Bahri’s brother-in-law, Zamri, was the former president of Kolej Islam Sains Teknologi. Zamri’s wife, Noraihan, took over that post after his death.

According to Noraihan, Bahri’s wife was the reason her name was left out of Zamri’s will.

In response, a source close to Bahri told FMT that this was an obvious attempt to defame him after his explosive revelation when announcing his early retirement.

「Bahri has denied this allegation (abuse of power).」

When asked if Bahri would take action against those out to defame him, the source replied:

「He didn』t want to lodge a counter report against his sister-in-law (Noraihan) out of respect for the deceased.

「And she has children to raise, so he’s concerned about them.」
