Honda主力追擊SUV熱潮，最新成員WR-V驚現巴西！

Honda近年來在SUV的成功大家有目共睹，CR-V，HR-V以及BR-V，均在全球各地取得不錯的成績，也讓Honda決定將資源主力追擊SUV市場。日前國外媒體在巴西拍攝到，Honda偷偷在馬路上測試SUV成員中新成員「WR-V」，竟然還有比BR-V更小的車款，究竟原廠在打什麼如意算盤呢？
根據QuatroRodas的報道，該車款同樣是會基於Jazz的底盤打造，報道中也表示名為WR-V的車款，在外觀上將會保持Jazz的風格，換句話說即使類似Crossover的定位嗎？將懸吊身高，外加一些套件增加越野氣息，如大量的防刮材質以及霧銀的飾板等等，估計在定位上會低於HR-V。
Honda也非首次推出如此搭配的車型，早前2012年在巴西，Honda就曾以Crossover版本的Jazz Twist在當地市場販售，如今原廠推出新一代Jazz，那針對Crossover做出改款也非不可能。相信該車款會現身2016年巴西聖保羅車展，並在2017年推出市場，估計該車款只會在當地銷售，並不會進入其他地區。
既然用上Jazz的底盤架構衍生而出的Crossover，猜測WR-V同樣會搭載1.5L自然進氣引擎，搭配5速手排以及CVT變速箱，也可能為當地市場推出1.5L柴油引擎。

Honda’s second compact SUV based on the Jazz platform, codenamed Honda 2FM and reported to be branded 『Honda WR-V』, was photographed on test in Brazil recently. The test mule despite being camouflaged, reveals the outline of the bootlid which appears very similar to that of the Jazz. The shape of the taillights too appear to be inspired by the hatchback.
The Honda WR-V will use a 1.5-liter flex-fuel engine in South America.
The Honda WR-V will be presented at this year’s Sao Paulo Motor Show which is scheduled to start on 8 November 2016. Post its South American debut, the compact SUV is expected to arrive in Indian shores in early-2017, where it will compete with the likes of recently-launched Maruti Vitara Brezza, Ford EcoSport and pseudo-crossovers like theHyundai i20 Active, VW Cross Polo and Toyota Etios Cross.
The HR-V/Vezel was deemed too expensive for the Indian market. India will hence get the BR-V and WR-V.
In markets abroad, Honda will position the WR-V below the HR-V, also based on the Jazz platform. However in markets like India where the HR-V is not sold (owing to its premium pricing), the WR-V will slot beneath the soon-to-launch Honda BR-V.

In the Indian market, the WR-V will be powered by the 1.5-liter i-DTEC diesel engine in addition to an i-VTEC petrol engine (1.2L or 1.5L depending on the overall length of the product). For the Brazilian market, reports state it will use a 1.5-liter i-VTEC flex-fuel engine paired to manual and CVT boxes.
A Honda compact SUV based on the Jazz is currently undergoing tests in Brazil. The car is said to have the 『Honda 2FM』 codename and is set to carry the 『Honda WR-V』 production name, according to QuatroRodas. Unlike the Honda HR-V, which also sits on the Jazz and City platform, this upcoming 『SUV』 won』t look very different from the B-segment five-door hatchback.
Think of the 『WR-V』 as a 「Cross Jazz」 in the vein of the Volkswagen Cross Polo and Hyundai i20 Active. Expect the usual cues used to give regular hatchbacks a more rugged look – roof rails, skid plates and black cladding on the lower part of the car. It’s not a new concept, even for Honda – the Fit Twist, an 『SUV』 version of the previous-gen Jazz, was unveiled for Brazil in 2012.
Word is that the Honda WR-V will make its debut at Brazil’s Sao Paulo Motor Show late this year, before heading to India in 2017. The premium-positioned HR-V is not sold in India, so the WR-V will come in below the seven-seat Honda BR-V in the subcontinent. In Brazil, the rugged Jazz could be powered by a flex-fuel 1.5 litre i-VTEC petrol engine with manual and CVT options, but India could get a 1.5 litre i-DTEC diesel.

Honda’s upcoming sub-4 metre SUV has been spied in Brazil and is said to be developed for emerging markets. Brazilian media reported that the compact SUV will be called 'WR-V' and will make it's global debut at the São Paulo International Motor Show, in November 2016. Reports suggest that Honda plans on introducing two SUVs / crossovers in the Indian market. While Honda has confirmed the BR-V, the WR-V, in all probability is the second one.
The silhouette reminds you of the Vision XS-1 concept, which made its world debut at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo. The WR-V borrows a lot of traits from the concept and is reportedly based on the City/Jazz’s platform. Unlike the Brio family, the WR-V will carry a unique design distinguishing it from its siblings.
After its reveal and launch in the South American country, we can expect Honda to launch it in India somewhere in 2017. The WR-V is likely to borrow engines from the Jazz hatchback. Expect the same 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel and the 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol engine to be under the WR-V's hood. The diesel motor will be mated to the 6-speed manual transmission and the petrol will be offered with a 5-speed manual or a CVT with paddle shifters.
The WR-V will take on the Ford Ecosport, the TUV300, the recently launched Vitara Brezzaand Tata's upcoming Nexon.
