2016 Honda City has been revised with a new grill and tail-lights and much more The Honda City is the bread and butter for Honda as the Alto is for Maruti.

Honda City came back with a diesel engine last year and took back its crown of the highest and most popular mid size sedan in the country.

Dethroning the Hyundai Verna badly and sending every other car back to the drawing board as the entire package was at a very good price considering the Honda badge.

The design of the City this time was evolutionary instead of revolutionary was loved by some people and hated by others.

However, Honda always does modular changes ever year and we believe this is the one which could come to India next year.

The 2016 Honda City is all set to be launched in China and spy shots reveal that the car gets some substantial changes on the outside.

The 2015 India specific Jazz face is now seen on the 2016 Honda City and the rear tail-lights turn from super sharp to super chunky and huge.

Front bumper is also revised slightly and rear bumper is now chunkier.

Interior details are scarce, but in India you can expect minimum changes to the dashboard or added features such as projector lights and one or more things could make it to the 2016 Honda City facelift.

The biggest change can be noticed in its front grill, which has now grown across all boundaries and is merged with headlight units.

This grill now gets the shiny black monolithic applique, with a prominent chrome underline.

Headlight units are seen to house the combination of projectors with conventional lamps, which is surrounded by black bezel.

Lower part of bumper has also been redesigned. Tail-end of the car is equally updated with new tail lamp unit and redesigned bumper. Chrome strip connecting pair of taillights looks decent as well.

The side profile is not left untouched either, as the lower crease on front door is altered. New set of alloy wheels concludes the list of changes.

The part here to be aware off is that the China specific Honda City is larger in every dimension so an exact looking replica coming to India is not happening, which is seen in the pictures.

In China the Honda City is powered by 1.5l petrol engine which produces 130 BHP but in India we will continue to get 1.5L petrol engine which makes 118 BHP and Earth Dreams diesel engine which produces 100 BHP.

Expect this model to come to India first or third quarter of the year 2016.

The update City will soon roll out on Chinese streets.

Though you might have different opinion, but this Chinese variant looks well dressed for Indian market too.

Smart combination of chrome and black plastic adds good depth to overall design.

Also considering the fact that its prime competitor – the Ciaz, comes with projector lamps, it makes sense for Honda City to wear the same soon.

Following the segment trend, Suzuki designers chose to give Ciaz a subtle look and so did Honda.

But now Honda might think of not to go with the flow and offer something different.

At the moment, chances of this City facelift’s Indian entry are scarce but, if it does, it has the potential to steal all the limelight back.
