首先，新加坡公民並不是外國移民隨便就可以申請的，達到以下條件者可以申請新加坡公民：

1、年滿21歲，在申請日期前已擁有新加坡永久居民（SPR）身份至少2年。

2、已完成全職國民服役的新加坡永久居民。

3、新加坡公民的配偶，擁有永久居民身份至少2年。

4、出生在新加坡，非新加坡公民，年齡未滿21歲的未成年人。

5、沒有出生在新加坡，在新加坡長期居住，其父母為新加坡公民的未成年人。

6、沒有出生在新加坡，父親是新加坡公民的兒童，該申請必須在孩子出生後一年內完成。

7、沒有出生在新加坡，其母親是新加坡公民的兒童

整理一下步驟

１。遞交申請 - ICA （1到2小時，建議直接去ICA櫃檯辦理；此時ICA網上顯示Pending；具體看如下連接)

注意１：直接去櫃檯遞交，人家收了交錢，不收不交錢；而如網上遞，ICA收不收，都交錢（當然你不差錢另說）;

注意2：由於我的案子是我帶孩子申請，沒有帶齊老婆的文件，結果還得再跑一次，全部材料（原件+複印）送給ICA；所以記住，無論夫妻雙方誰申請誰不申請，只要孩子申請，夫妻雙方的材料（原件＋複印）必須全部帶上，免得再跑一趟

注意3：小房間裡的工作人員查材料查得很細，查出老婆的文憑的公正書沒有把其文憑上的所有內容公正完，結果我又跑一趟高法，翻譯了整篇文憑；所以你要仔細看看你的公正書，別想當然國內的公正處會不出紕漏

２。拿到原則批准信 ( 步驟１後大約2到6個月，ICA會寄信，Approval in principle， 此時到下一步前ICA網上還顯示Pending)

３。參加公民之旅三步曲 ( 步驟２後歷時大約一個月，其中Community Sharing最難搞定，因為每月才一次：e-journey, experimental tour, community sharing; 此時到下一步前ICA網上還顯示Pending；登陸如下網站預定，學習)

4。拿到正式批准信 （步驟３後大約1到2周，此時ICA網上已經顯示Approved．ICA會寄信）

5。退籍 －中國大使館 （1小時，無須預約，只有上午辦理，注意表格內容，連接如下）

填表交進窗口後，工作人員會給張小紅紙，那張小紅紙千萬保存好，因為它是四天後取退籍證明和作廢護照的唯一憑證。四天後取件時，窗口人員只認小紅紙，連你的名字都不問，即從不檢驗身份。即別人憑那張紙也可以把你的東西取出來。真為天朝使館工作人員的認真精神所折服。

6。註冊新公民 - ICA （從第４步開始要等3周多（本人案例）；註冊本身須40分鐘至2 小時；ICA寄來的正式批准信中有具體時間預約；如果想改，可以通過eAppointment改，但只能延遲，提前一般沒戲。當然可以試運氣提前預約了，但一般沒戲，因為沒空額）

You will be notified of the Citizenship outcome by post. An appointment date for citizenship registration will be arranged.

On the day of appointment, proceed to:

Citizen Services Centre

Registry of Citizens, Counter 7 or 8

6th Storey, ICA Building

10 Kallang Road

(Next to Lavender MRT station)

Operating Hours:

Monday to Friday : 8.00am to 4.30pm

Saturday: No citizenship registration

Obtain a Q-Number for verification of documents and complete registration/application for the following:

- Singapore Citizenship

- Identity Card (Refer to Register for Identity Card for more information)

- Singapore Passport (Refer to Apply for Singapore Passport for more information)

- Take the Oath of Renunciation, Allegiance and Loyalty before the Commissioner of Oaths

注意：記得帶著同時獲批的小孩 （小朋友終於出場了）

注意：帶照片4張（包括護照用的那張！小孩2張！）

注意：即移民廳辦理公民登記當天，拿不到除了一張貼了你照片被稱為臨時身份證的小紙頭之外的任何東西。即拿不到公民證書，拿不到身份證，拿不到護照。感覺自己宣誓了，可是沒有拿到任何證明自己是公民的文件。所以你最好把最終的那封公民批准信複印一下。

7。辦新護照 ( 註冊同一天去櫃檯，無須預約）

Proceed to ICA Building Level 3, Citizen Services Centre to apply directly at the Counter) ）

Applicants below 16 years old

Applicants must come with the consenting parent / legal guardian and with the following original documents:

· Birth certificate

· Identity Card, if applicable

· MOE Student Card (applicable to students studying in Singapore between 7 and 15 years of age)

· Identity card of consenting parent or legal guardian (legal document of guardianship must be produced）

· Citizenship Certificate, if you are a Singapore citizen by registration and have not been issued with an Identity Card

· Current Singapore Passport (a police report or Statutory Declaration is required if your passport is lost)

· One recent passport-sized colour photograph of the applicant meeting the following specifications:

Note: Photographs that do not meet the requirements will result in a delay in the processing of the passport application.

Applicants 16 years old and above

Applicants must come in person and bring the following original documents:

· Identity Card

· Current Singapore Passport (a police report or Statutory Declaration is required if your passport is lost)

· One recent passport-sized colour photograph of the applicant meeting the following specifications:

Note: Photographs that do not meet the requirements will result in a delay in the processing of the passport application.

Procedure

Applications may be made at the service counters at Passports Section, Citizen Services Centre, 3rd Storey, ICA Building. Please ensure that you have the relevant required documents. Applicants below 16 years old must be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian.

There is no need to complete any forms. Our counter staff will guide you through the application, and a personalised application will be printed for you at the counter.

Processing Time

You will be notified by post to collect your passport once it is ready. An acknowledgement card (pink card) will be mailed to you within one (1) week from the date after ICA receives your application.

Collection

You may collect your passport at the services counters at Passport Section, Citizen Services Centre, 2nd Storey, ICA Building. You are advised to collect your passport within 1 month of application. Passports not collected within 3 months of application will be cancelled and no refund of the passport fee will be given.

Note: If an applicant had submitted his/her application form in person over the counter, the applicant may come in person or authorise another person (proxy) in writing to collect the passport on his/her behalf. The proxy will need to bring along the letter authorising him/her to collect the passport, (pink) acknowledgement card and the required documents as stated in the card.

網友補充：去宣誓那天就會在blue card上哢嚓個洞,然後附贈一張小紙條說新IC on the way, 這段時間你的IC就是 帶洞的BLUE card+小紙條一張

7.1 取護照

移民廳會在一周內發一封粉色的明信片般的通知單，說你可以在某天起，一個月內來取護照了。

如果是把申請表投進移民廳的那個箱子申請的（比如我就是這樣）

注意：一定要在網上預約時間去取

注意：移民廳會給成人和小孩發通知書，但不在同一天！所以我只好再打電話去問，才知道我孩子的也好了。在移民廳二樓自動出票機前，為了拿票，我可以用臨時小紙頭掃描，孩子的要用學生證掃描

注意：如果不是在櫃檯申請護照，小孩一定要去取護照，大人不能代辦！因為小朋友要按指紋。

注意：櫃檯人員要你出示公民證書，你哪來的公民證書？因為他不知道你是歸化公民，第一次辦護照，他不知道你的公民證書還在移民廳某個地方鎖著

注意：在拿護照時，櫃檯人員在給護照時，還要問你，你有沒有其他國籍，不知道在這個時候為啥還要問這個問題？！

8。拿新IC

You will be required to attend a Citizenship Ceremony organized by the Group Representative Constituency (GRC) at a future date. The citizenship folder comprising Citizenship Certificate and Identity Card (if applicable) will be presented to you by the Guest-of-Honour.

這個步驟可能會等幾個月，看選區的安排。我那個選區每個季度搞一次儀式。
