10 歲的凱莉 (Kaley Szarmack) 於 8 月 20 日在佛羅里達州被鯊魚咬傷了右腿，

當時凱莉當時剛沖完浪，站在水深及腰的海水中休息。

但突然一痛！竟被鯊魚咬了！！

這麼淺的水竟有鯊魚！

凱莉的爸爸戴夫 (Dave Szarmack) 表示：

「她說感覺到被咬後，轉過身看見了鯊魚，還看到在水中揮舞著的鯊魚鰭。她馬上對朋友喊道：『快離開水裡！這裡有鯊魚！』」

「她走出海中後，發現 6 歲的朋友 還在水裡，所以她又轉過身回到海中，找到 6 歲 的同伴，並將那位小女孩拉出水中。」

凱莉的傷口太深了，需要在膝蓋和腳之間縫上 90 針。

所幸醫生說這次的傷沒有讓勇敢的凱莉留下永久性的傷害！

Kaley Szarmack was taken to Wolfson Children's Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida yesterday after suffering a shark bite to the leg.

The 10-year-old girl had been taking a break from surfing and was standing in waist deep water when she felt the attack.

"She got bit on the right leg," Kaley's father Dave Szarmack told station WJXT-TV. "She said she felt it and she turned around and she could see the shark and she could see the fin flailing around. She turned and yelled to her friend 'get out of the water! It's a shark!'"

Kaley then proceeded to walk herself out of the ocean, until she noticed her 6-year-old friend still playing in the water. Firefighter dad Dave tears up describing Kaley's bravery.

Dave says that he's seen quite a bit during his time as a firefighter, but nothing quite as terrible and bloody as his daughter's injury.

Kaley's gashes were too deep and gruesome to show on TV, requiring 90 stitches between the knee and foot. On the bright side, doctors say the brave little girl has no permanent damage and will be able to resume surfing soon.
