里巴巴利路（River Valley Road）發生汽車墜河事件，導致兩人死亡。

民防部隊證實在晚上接到有關通報，得知一輛汽車在駛出華麗嶺購物中心停車場後，沖入附近的新加坡河。

SINGAPORE: Two people were killed on Sunday evening (Jan 24) after a car plunged into a canal leading to Singapore River, said the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF).

The incident took place at about 9pm near Valley Point Shopping Centre at 491 River Valley Road, said SCDF.

Divers extricated the bodies of two women from the fully-submerged car in the canal, and they were pronounced dead at the scene, SCDF added.

SCDF said the case has been handed over to the police for further investigation.
