印度《商業標準報》11月19日文章，原題：不再是「珍珠鏈」，而是龍在印度洋 忘記中國如何從海上包圍印度的「珍珠鏈」理論吧。實際上，中國不僅在海上，也在陸地和空中，且深度參與所有南亞及南亞以外的經濟體。

11月14日那天印度周邊發生的兩件事情，顯示中國的影響力擴大到什麼程度。一是巴基斯坦瓜達爾港投入使用，二是達卡方面宣布孟加拉國從中國接收該國首艘潛艇。

上周一，大批貿易貨物首次離開瓜達爾港，標誌著這個由中國設計和建造的港口開始運行，也標誌著這個「中巴經濟走廊」下的港口的配套工程僅用2年左右就完工。

中國在巴基斯坦行動迅速。相比之下，印度-伊朗-阿富汗三國協議進展甚微。該協議的內容是開發伊朗境內的恰巴哈爾港，以及修建一條連接恰巴哈爾港到內陸國阿富汗再到中亞的鐵路線。

該項目得到歐巴馬政府的認可，日本方面也承諾提供支持。但不久前一名日本官員稱，尚未收到恰巴哈爾港項目方尋求任何融資參與的消息。

長期以來，孟加拉國在軍事上把雞蛋全放在中國籃子裡。與此同時，中國仍深度介入緬甸，還深度參與在尼泊爾的幾個項目。而印度既無能力也無政治意願，通過投資和項目主動拉攏鄰國。既然如此，除了抗衡「珍珠鏈」之外，印度還有更多要擔心和應對的。中國龍已在印度洋。

未來5年里，中國對世界經濟的貢獻，仍將保持大約30%的比例。環球時報引述中國改革發展研究院院長遲福林的話，中國經濟的轉變將成為全球經濟增長的重要驅動力。

他是在11月5日開幕的改革論壇上致辭時說的。

他預測，未來幾年裡，全球經濟將緩慢發展，並追求一個新的平衡，給中國經濟的轉變帶來影響。

另一方面，作為世界第二大經濟體，中國經濟轉變和發展對世界經濟的影響越來越大。

據估計，中國經濟增長對世界經濟的貢獻，有望保持在25%-30%的水平。

Nobody really takes a moment to understand why it is so hard to stop China」s economic growth and almost impossible for India to match it. It is not about me being pessimistic about ourselves. I have worked closely with Chinese in my profession and tried to understand their DNA. Therein lies their inherent strength. Why would their historical opponents like Japan and more recently US feel compelled to invest in China and not India? In most forms of human endeavour which require people to put their head own , focus and do a mechanical job day-in-day-out without much fatigue or much complaining the Chinese will be way ahead of any race let alone Indians. No wonder they are the shop floor of the world. V simply can」t profess to catch up. The other thing is the Chinese follow procedures like robots. There is very high degree of discipline in their workforce to follow rules no matter what. This combination makes them a race that is as close to machines as humans can possibly come. They didn」t choose communism but it」s the other way around. If our leaders understand this and reflect on it then maybe we can figure out ways to challenge their growth with our ingenuity. It」s possible but a huge challenge and a good one in the sphere of human endeavor

人類活動中，只要是需要埋頭苦幹，需要整天機械地工作的，且不會感到疲倦，不會抱怨的，中國人都會比任何人做得更好，印度人就更不要比了

難怪中國成為世界工廠，我們根本就趕不上去的

另一方面，中國人就跟機器人一樣，對紀律地遵守可是一絲不苟

如果我們的領導人能看清這點，那麼我們就能找到挑戰他們經濟的方法。

挑戰中國人是可能的， 不過難度很大
