BrahMos is a precision strike weapon. The missile has a range of 290 km, has a maximum velocity of 2.8 Mach and cruises at altitudes varying from 10 metres to 15 km.

Indian warships are armed with configurations of eight or 16 Brahmos missiles each, while sets of two or four would go on smaller vessels.

The missile can be launched from multiple platforms including land, sea, sub-sea and air. According to the DRDO, the missile can be fitted in ships, mobile launchers, submarines and aircraft against land and sea targets.

The Army has already inducted three regiments of Brahmos in its arsenal. All are equipped with Block-III version of missile, which was tested on May 8 and 9 this year.

Pakistan cannot afford a conventional war. Their trained terrorists along with Pak Army fighting proxy war. In this proxy war there is no law to be followed. Pakistan want to destabilize Indian economy. China is concerned it better understood if any war break out with India their economy will be thrown back to 25 years back. So China is also not willing a war. More over they understood India」s position is far better than 1962. War is not a easy matter with India now.
