《華爾街日報》形容中國駐馬大使黃惠康在茨廠街發表的言論對東南亞國家來說是一個「突如其來的威脅」，不過大馬政府最擔心的不是馬中關係，而是國內非馬來人會否因此撤資到其他國家。
《華爾街日報》在評論專欄指出，大馬與中國有緊密的經濟與軍事合作關係，但這些不是大馬政府在發生反華人情況最擔憂的問題，而是華人與非馬來人還掌控著國內的經濟，一旦他們撤資海外，對大馬經濟影響很大。

（1 Oct 2015）《華爾街日報》再批首相拿督斯里納吉為了求存轉移視線，讓916集會亮綠燈，不僅導致巫統分裂，也可能引發種族之間的不和諧。
曾揭發納吉的私人銀行戶頭有26億令吉存款的《華爾街日報》，是在評論版中撰文，稱即使納吉下台，也不能化解國內的種族緊張關係，因為馬來沙文主義者已取代被開除的副首相丹斯里慕尤丁。
「馬來西亞的少數族群有充分的理由擔心，他們將再次成為國內權力鬥爭的代罪羔羊。」
該報章說，占經濟主導地位的華裔和非馬來商人，可能會因此而撤資。「馬來西亞的華裔和印裔仍然主導經濟，他們可能會撤資。」
該報章也說，航空業翹楚丹斯里東尼費南德斯就曾針對國內越趨惡化的種族關係，表示擔憂。
《WSJ: Huang’s remarks a 『surprising threat』 》
( October 1, 2015) PETALING JAYA: The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) has described Chinese Ambassador Huang Huikang’s controversial remarks in Petaling Street on Friday as a 「threat that came as a surprise,」 given China’s policy against interfering in the internal affairs of other countries.
However, the paper also says that 「Beijing will speak up for ethnic Chinese under attack」 in South East Asian countries, basing the speculation on its observation that 「rising nationalism」 was driving Chinese aggression in the region.
News reports on Friday quoted Huang as saying, 「With regard to the infringement on China’s national interests, violations of legal rights and interests of Chinese citizens and businesses, which may damage the friendly relationship between China and the host country, we will not sit by idly.」
WSJ’s comments came in an article published today under the heading 「Malaysia and the race card.」 The article alleged that Prime Minister Najib Razak’s fight for political survival was 「sparking racial discord.」
It referred to the events of May 1969 and said: 「If race riots do recur, retaliation from China wouldn』t be the biggest cost. Ethnic Chinese and Indian Malaysians still dominate the economy and could move their capital and management know-how offshore.」
It quoted AirAsia CEO Tony Fernandes as saying recently that he was worried about deteriorating race relations.
「The system of racial preferences created after the 1969 riots to mollify Malay anger have had a perverse effect,」 WSJ said. 「The benefits fostered corruption among Umno politicians who channeled public funds to their cronies. The struggling Malaysian economy means the competition for spoils is even more vicious.
「Even if Mr Najib steps down, tensions are likely to increase for some time. After the Prime Minister sacked his deputy and rival, Muhyiddin Yassin, in July and purged other reformers from Umno, Malay chauvinists have moved into positions of power. Malaysia’s minorities have good reason to fear they will again be scapegoats in the country’s power struggles.」
（1 Oct 2015）中國駐馬大使黃惠康的「娘家論」風波繼續延燒。農業部副部長達祖丁今天警告，若大馬華人膽敢向外人投訴問題的話，則將被「蓋巴掌」。
「我要該馬來西亞華人警告，不要有問題就要找人申訴，一點點就要投訴，以便有人可以保護他們。」
「這是要被蓋巴掌（lempang）的。」
達祖丁（Tajuddin Abdul Rahman）今天在吉隆坡主持一項活動的開幕禮後，在記者會上發表上述的立場。
達祖丁也是巫統最高理事。他要求大馬華人不要妄想，認為有外人可以撐腰。
「馬來西亞的華人不要妄想有『大老闆』會到來，有『教父』從中國來幫忙他們。」
達祖丁再強調，「不要那樣妄想！」
達祖丁表示，中國駐馬大使黃惠康到大馬，只是為了保護在本地旅行的中國人。
「他說要保護中國人，他不是馬來西亞華裔，為何要插手。若他插手，我也會生氣。」
「中國大使說，他的談話被人炒作，他沒有干預我們國家內政的意圖，沒有維護本地華裔的意圖。」
（1 Oct 2015）維護大馬尊嚴親善組織（MJMM）和大馬穆斯林人民聯盟（IRIMM）今日向中國駐馬大使館提呈備忘錄，強烈反對並警告中國駐馬大使黃惠康勿干預大馬內政。
儘管昨日有消息指內閣已討論黃惠康被指干預我國內政議題，認為大使無干政意圖並同意平息這場風波，然而維護大馬尊嚴親善組織主席阿都拉尼在移交備忘錄後記者指出，該組織和IRIMM將針對黃惠康干政議題，於今日到金馬警區報案，再於下周一到冼都警局報案。
阿都拉尼說，大馬國民一向和諧相處，從未發生壓制任何一族的議題，大馬政府良好執政更是備受全球認可。
他捍衛於「916人民團結集會」包圍茨廠街的「紅衫軍」，指馬來人只是不滿茨廠街售賣贗品，並非針對華人。
「他們（華人）是大馬國民，非中國人民，奇怪為何他（黃惠康）這麼多事（sibuk）。」

《言論遭曲解 照事實發表聲明》
（1 Oct 2015）副首相兼內政部長拿督斯里阿末扎希指出，外交部召見中國駐馬大使黃惠康是外交管道慣例，以要求知道其言論是否遭錯誤詮釋。
他說，有關召見為了要求黃惠康就其當天訪茨廠街時，所發表言論作出解釋。
「外交部僅是要求他確定是否其言論被錯誤詮釋與否。如果中國大使在茨廠街發表如報導中的言論，外交部將會勸請他不要干預國家政治內部事務，維也納外交關係公約第41條款已闡明此事。」
「如果中國大使表明其言論遭錯誤詮譯，外交部將會要求他就所發生的事實發表聲明。」
阿末扎希指出，有了這篇文告後，他希望各造能夠停止爭議，並且不要陷入數名反對黨領袖在各自社交媒體中，所扭轉的言論圈套中。
