（2017年10月17日）現任馬航首席執行長彼得貝勒（Peter Bellew）將離開馬航，重返舊巢，於今年12月1日起擔任瑞安航空的營運長，換言之，馬航將在3年2度換首席執行長，對大馬航空業投下了一顆震撼彈！
瑞安航空（Ryanair）今日發文告指，彼得貝勒將重返舊巢擔任營運張，以解決飛行員短缺問題，並將負責該公司的一切航空與地勤運作，也會專門監管飛機師培訓。
而馬航隨即也發文告表示，對於彼得重返瑞安航空一事感到「始料不及」。儘管如此，馬航補充，公司的營運和服務一切照舊，復甦大計的進度仍處於正軌。
彼得貝勒今天也在文告中表示，他對於自己將重返瑞安航空感到喜悅。
據悉，較早前，他曾被目擊出現在瑞安航空總部，但他否認離職一說。
彼得貝勒於今年5月宣布，馬航的乘客量將在今年開發11條新航線，這也是馬航有史以來，在一年內開發最多航線的一次。
彼得貝勒曾在瑞安航空擔任營運總監直至2014年，他在穆勒2015年9月受委為馬航前任首席執行長數個月之後加入馬航，去年7月升任為首席執行長。
穆勒和彼得貝勒是在馬航發生MH370與MH17事件後，接連接下首席執行長重任，以期讓馬航恢復昔日光輝。
現在的問題是，之前納吉到美國訂了那麼多飛機，怎麼辦？馬航能在短時間能物色另一名有能力的首席執行長嗎？新任的會不會又是做不到3年就另謀高就？？
CEO』s decision to leave unexpected, says Malaysia Airlines
PETALING JAYA: Malaysia Airlines says its chief executive officer Peter Bellew』s decision to leave after just over a year with the organisation and rejoin former employer Ryanair, was 「unexpected」.
The national airline said in a statement that its board of directors would meet and an announcement on the matter would be made in due course.
「Our operations and services continue as normal and our commitment and priority are our customers.
「The turnaround of Malaysia Airlines remains on track and on schedule as per the MAS Recovery Plan,」 the statement said.
RyanAir Holdings PLC had said in a statement that Bellew would rejoin the company as its chief operations officer.
Bellew will be given the specific responsibility of helping the Irish airline address a pilot staffing issue that led to thousands of flight cancellations, the statement said.
Malaysia Airlines noted in its statement that in a press conference on Sept 27, Bellew had expressed his commitment to Malaysia Airlines when asked to comment on speculation that he would rejoin RyanAir.
「He said that he was happy to be in Malaysia and that the turnaround of Malaysia Airlines would be 『the greatest achievement of my life』.」
When contacted earlier today, Bellew told FMT he would not be giving any statement to the press.
「Sorry, I』m not doing any press (interviews) as it』s a matter for the board and shareholders.
「Thanks for the coverage over the years. (I) appreciate the support,」 he said in a WhatsApp message.
