政府向非土著商家追稅簡直無孔不入！大馬知名企業家丹斯里李金友也中招了！
他在外資銀行的一筆1.26億令吉存款忽然被內陸稅收局凍結了！
根據綠野集團發布的文告指出 ：
內陸稅收局可能是因為查出丹斯里李金友曾經在1997年及1998年有一筆高達2250萬令吉的稅務欠款，
而在無預警之下採取行動，凍結了李金友一筆存放在外資銀行戶口的1.26億存款！
1997年的欠稅，現在也被挖出來！也就是說，隔了20年的欠稅也逃不掉！可見政府窮到不得不千方百計挖錢！
丹斯里李金友是前首相馬哈迪的密友，也是馬哈迪掌政時期的華裔朋黨企業家；與成功集團的丹斯里陳志遠、
伊佳蘭集團的丹斯里陳伯勤一樣，深得老馬信任。
如今李金友忽然被內陸稅收局立案調查，坊間盛傳其中一個原因就是政府報復老馬。是耶非耶，由大家去判斷。
綠野集團（CHHB,5738,主板產業組）大股東兼主席丹斯里李金友存放在一家外資銀行為數1億2600萬令吉的定期存款遭內陸稅收局扣押。
該公司發文告表示，據李金友了解，這可能與集團獨資子公司綠野私人有限公司（CHSB）的1997和1998年應納稅額有關，
總額共2250萬令吉。
李金友已去函內陸稅收局要求證實存款被扣押，以及是否與應納稅額有關，但內陸稅收局仍未響應。
不過，李金友已同意將內陸稅收局扣押的定期存款用來支付應納稅額，只要該集團同意用作解決稅款的這筆款項，
列為拖欠李金友的款項，該公司只要取得充足資金，將清還此欠款。
李金友並同意這筆款項不會徵收利息，董事部在開會後已接納其獻議。
IRB seizes Lee Kim Yew’s fixed deposits in foreign bank
The Inland Revenue Board (IRB) has seized Country Heights Holdings Bhd』s(CHHB)
executive chairman and major shareholder Tan Sri Lee Kim Yew』sfixed deposits placed with a
foreign-owned bank amounting to RM126mil.
Lee understood that it was in relation to a tax liability ofCHHB』s wholly owned subsidiary,
Country Heights Sdn Bhd (CHSB).
CHHB said that the total tax liabilities of CHSB for the yearsof assessment 1997 and 1998 amounted to RM22.5mil.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, CHHB said it receivednotification of this matter from Lee in a letter dated May 8.
This is the latest in the case of companies being forced to sellassets in order to pay tax bills.
On Monday, MK Land Holdings Bhd also disposed ofa parcel of leasehold land in Kamunting, Perak, for RM72mil.
Amongothers, the disposal consideration would be utilisedfor workingcapital, corporate tax,
real property gains taxand estimated incidentalexpenses amounting to RM47mil.
Recallthat on April 17, CHSB had been served with awinding up petitioninitiated by the Government
in relationto a judgment sum of RM22.71mil.
This amount was for aclaim in relation to CHSB』spurported tax obligations,
along withinterest on the saidsum at the rate of 5% per annum from Dec 28, 2016and costsof RM2,500.
InTuesday's Bursa filing, Lee further informed that hehas requested aconfirmation from the IRB of the
seizure andwhether the seized fundshave been, or would be applied tosettle the tax liability. The IRB hasyet to respond.
Despitethe absence of acknowledgement from the IRB, Leehas informed Bursa thathe is agreeable to allow his
fixeddeposits seized by the IRB to beused to settle the taxliability.
Thisis provided that the company acknowledges the sumused to settle thetax liability as an amount due and owingto Lee,
and that the companyundertakes to settle the amountas soon as the company has sufficientfunds to do so.
Lee has further agreed that the sum would be non-interestbearing.
The board of CHHB has met Tuesday and, after due consideration,agreed to the above settlement.
