你知道嗎，馬幣最新的紙鈔可算是第十二系列了？
今年即2012年7月16日，馬來西亞國家銀行發行了一系列全新設計的鈔票，以東馬特有的生物與地標為主題，採用圖像如沙巴的萊佛士花與神山以及沙撈越的犀鳥與海龜等，也重新推出價值20令吉的紙幣。其50令吉的設計跟2007年的50令吉（為紀念馬來西亞獨立50周年而推出）和2009年的50令吉（與2007年相似但已沒有50周年標籤）相似。這一系列新鈔繼續由第六任國家銀行總督（Tan Sri Dato』 Sri Dr. Zeti Akhtar Aziz）簽署。

In July 16, year 2012, Bank Negara Malaysia issued another series of banknotes with new design. The design of the newly-launched notes were based on Borneo’s unique natural species and landmarks, and re-issue the value RM20 banknotes. In addition, the design of new RM50 was similar to RM50 notes which released in year 2007 (a special edition to commemorate 50th anniversary of the independence of Malaysia) and year 2009 (without the 50th anniversary logo). This series of banknotes were still signed by Governor Tan Sri Dato』 Sri Dr Zeti Akhtar Aziz.
